Robert Ramsay
Professor Robert G. Ramsay, Senior Principal Research Fellow, Division of Research, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia. rob.ramsay@petermac.org
Rob is the Group Leader of the Differentiation and Transcription Laboratory (since 1995) and Co-Head of the GI Cancer Program at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. His PhD in Biochemistry was gained at the Queensland Institute for Medical Research. He did post-doctoral training at Memorial Sloan Kettering, New York and the Ludwig Institute, Melbourne and currently holds a two CIA National Health & Medical Research Council project grants. He is a Past President of the ASMR and NARF, current president of the International Society for the Study of Pleura and Peritoneum (ISSPP) and chair of the Australasia Gastrointestinal Trials Group (AGITG) translation committee. He has been, and is currently involved in, several clinical trials including the development of novel cancer therapies including DNA vaccines that target nuclear oncogenes as well as surgery technologies.
